Mr. Snoozeaste was an avid treasure hunter. He had been working with metal detectors for going on 20 years. He had found many objects in his time but nothing of any major value. At least not value to a treasure hunter. Now if he had likened himself to a relic hunter you could say he had found fantastic objects through out his career.
Until one day that is, Mr. Snoozeast had been working any area off the beaten path at Gettysburg. Legend had it that the Confederate Army had had a pay station near by. Now Mr. Snoozeast had diligently plotted a two square mile area. He had been working the area for nearly a year and had almost completed every plot. As a matter of fact he was down to his last plot XG276QV398. Mr. Snoozeast had been working the area for days. It is a very hilly area and had been over grown for over a hundred years. So, it was very difficult to get a clear reading. He had bought a cheap metal detector but he was sure that was not the problem. There had been many metal detectors for sale that day and he was sure that he had bought the best metal detector that had been available that day.
Mr. Snoozeast believed in buying cheap metal detectors. This allowed him to buy many different metal detectors specialized for many different terrains and many different purposes. That day he had looked at Discovery Metal Detectors, Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors, Fisher Metal Detectors, Garrett Metal Detectors, Minelab Metal Detectors, Pioneer Metal Detectors, Treasure Hunter Metal, and knows very well he had gotten the best.
He fumbled around for several hours and was almost ready to take a lunch break. But, then all of a sudden his cheap metal detector lit up and alarmed him. It was the sound of gold. He moved around a little while longer trying to pinpoint the exact location. Once he did he dug up a Spanish galleon. Now he had heard of the legend about the old pay station and got very excited. He spent the better part of the rest of the day and found several more galleons. Then before he could even understand what had happened a loud piercing sound shot through his ear. He had found something big very big.
He pulled out his shovel and dug for several hours. Then he came to the top of an old rotted roof that at some time had been buried. It was easy enough for him to break through the roof. And when he did he was fantastically surprised. He had found the legendary pay station. The confederates had built the pay station into a hill to hide it. But, during the battle of Gettysburg the hill had caved in. Loosing it until Mr. Snoozeast had found it. He finally had the treasure he had been looking for. And all he had was the cheap metal detector that he had bought at the sale yesterday where they had had metal detectors for sale.
