Buying cheap metal detectors does not mean you are buying a lower quality metal detector. What buying cheap metal detectors means is that you are a savvy buyer. Metal detectors in general can be expensive. You could spend from just a hundred plus dollars to several thousand on a professional metal detector package. If you are new to treasure hunting then you may not want to make an investment of several thousand dollars just to see if you like it. Buying cheap metal detectors is perfect for those that are just starting out in the hobby.
It would make no sense for you to go out and spend a lot of money on a hobby that you are not even sure that you want to participate in. on the other hand there is no reason not to buy a cheap metal detector. The price is right and the quality is the same. More over if you are a more seasoned treasure hunter then you may want to buy cheap metal detectors so that you can have a variety of metal detectors that you can use for specific purposes. Budgeting your money and buying cheap metal detectors not at retail prices would enable you to have a metal detector for work in the water, the beach or any other specialized situation.
